Description

Folding map in 16 segments, hand-coloured in outline. In original blue sugar-paper card slipcase with white labels printed in black. Large tear to central fold reaching nearly halfway up, other small holes to folded corners, a little spotted to reverse. Slipcase lightly soiled, a little worn to extremities.

Notes

This map retains its original slipcase which gives it the slightly different title of 'Bowles's New One-Sheet Plan of London and its Outskirts' and with an advertisement pasted to the other side adverting Bowles's new four-sheet maps.
