PRESENTATION COPY, 8vo, pp. 112, [3], 114-139 + 3 double-sided leaves of plates. Numerous other illustrations included within pagination. Original dark blue pebbled roan, boards bordered with gilt rules, front board lettered and tooled in gilt direct. Just a touch of soiling. Slightly rubbed, spine a little sunned. Presentation inscription to flyleaf: ‘To my old + dear friend James McDonald from R. A. Grierson, President Dumfries Burns Club, 1914-20’.

A history of the Dumfries Burns club recorded in 3 locations on Library Hub: NLS, Glasgow and BL. It was also issued in cloth - the leather on this one may have been a special presentation binding, as this copy has been inscribed by the president of the club, who also writes the foreword.
