Contemporary calf, boards bordered with a gilt roll, spines divided by gilt rolls, red and black morocco labels, other compartments tooled elaborately in gilt, edges sprinkled red. A little spotting. Sometime rebacked preserving earlier backstrips, somewhat scratched and rubbed, some wear to extremities, small splits to spine-ends. Ownership inscriptions of W. Herries to title-pages.
