Notes

The first printing of Crevier's edition of Livy, complete with the supplement volumes containing the completion of the missing books by Frensheim and the index volume. The full set having appeared over seven years, some purchasers evidently stopped after the first three volumes which provided the original surviving 35 books of Livy's history.
Crevier's efforts were considerable but quickly surpassed in both quality and extent by Drakenborch, whose seven-volume edition overlapped it, appearing at Amsterdam between 1738 and 1746. Nevertheless, Crevier's work remained a standard of sorts, being reprinted a number of times over the following century across Europe and England.
