FIRST EDITION, SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, 8vo, pp. 56. Phoenix device in red to title-page. Original red cloth, spine lettered in gilt, phoenix blocked in gilt to front board, dustjacket printed in green. Dustjacket a little rubbed with small mark to front panel, tiny chips to foot of spine panel and rear flap fold. Signed by the author to front flyleaf and dated ‘March ’70’.

Notes

The third of MacCaig's books to be published as part of The Phoenix Living Poets. The jacket design is by Enid Marx, also known for her design of the textiles for London buses and the Underground.
