Extremities a touch worn, spine cocked, hinges cracked and first and last leaves loosening. Ownership inscription of Stewart Smith to half-title.

Notes

The first edition of Haggard's best-selling lost-world adventure, one of the foundational works of the fantasy genre. This copy has all four misprints often said to distinguish the first issue, though not all of these were corrected in later printings.
