A chronological account of battles from the Roman invasion of Scotland to the Jacobite Rising. Favourably noticed by the Critical Review as 'carefully collected' and 'perspicuous', it nevertheless seems not to have sold well enough to warrant ever being reprinted, or for Lawrie to have completed his intended follow-up on the wars of England, which his preface claims is 'almost ready for the press'.
