Binders’ instruction leaf discarded. 19th-century half red morocco, red marbled boards, spines divided by raised bands and lettered in gilt direct, top edges gilt. One page holed and torn without loss. Endpapers foxed, spines slightly sunned.

A scarce edition of MacPherson's popular Ossian poems, with an extensive critical apparatus: the first volume contains only essays and dissertations, the poetry being confined to volumes 2 and 3. Library Hub records just 4 locations: Cambridge, NLS, Trinity College and St Andrews.
