Notes

An English translation of the 13th century Icelandic Laxdæla saga by bibliographer and typographer Robert Proctor (1868-1903). Proctor's interest in the sagas was awaked by his friend the artist William Morris, whose poem 'The Lovers of Gudrun' from 1880 was inspired by the same source material.
