12mo, pp. [x], 390, [6, index] + frontispiece, 2 plates, 1 table and 2 folding maps. Title-page printed in red and black. Contemporary half calf, marbled boards, spine divided by raised bands and lettered sand tooled in gilt direct, marbled edges. A little spotting, map folds sometime reinforced with tape to reverse. Sometime rebacked preserving original backstrip, rubbed, some wear to spine ends.
