Travellers’ Tales, 10 November 2015 – 9 January 2016.

Our latest gallery exhibition is Travellers’ Tales by Laura Gill. Laura is an Edinburgh-born and based artist who graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA (Hons) Fine Art in 2011. Her paintings, drawings, photographs, and digital images explore the timeless quality of the movement of the human figure.

Inspired by the sense of dynamism and movement of the Futurist artists, the fluidity of Celtic interlace and the patterns in Art Nouveau, she uses repetitious shapes and patterns in her images to illustrate the way that movements made by the human body transcend time.
