We are pleased to announce our first list, containing 25 antiquarian books about or relating to Scotland. The majority of the books are from a recently-acquired private collection.
Highlights include a rare volume of panoramic views of Edinburgh from Blackford Hill in the original wrappers, a copy of Douglas’s Aeneis (the 1710 edition, with its important Scots dictionary) from the collection of the translator of the New Testament into Scots, and several fine bindings on works including Pennant’s Tour and an Edinburgh doctoral dissertation.
The list is now available as a PDF, and you can read and download it by clicking here. If you would like to receive a hard copy of the list, contact us.
