Two marginal paper flaws not touching text. Sometime rebacked and recornered preserving original backstrip, hinges relined, old leather a little scratched. Armorial bookplates of H.F. Davies of Elmley Castle and William Battell to pastedown, the latter of whom has signed his name ‘W. A single-volume selection from the historical collections of John Somers, 1st Baron Somers (1951-1716), taken from the 16-volume set published between 1748 and 1752.
