Later grained calf, boards bordered with gilt rolls enclosing blind rolls, spine divided by raised bands gilt between double gilt rules, 2nd compartment lettered direct in gilt, other compartments tooled centrally in gilt, marbled edges. A touch of spotting. Somewhat rubbed, spine creased, front joint splitting but cords holding, some wear to extremities. Bookplate of Vera Humbleburk to pastedown, ownership inscription of A Trevelyan to title-page.
