NO. 32 OF 58 LARGE-PAPER COPIES, 4to, pp. iv, [iv], 48 + 17 plates and 2 maps. Original brown cloth, boards bordered with a double blind roll, front board lettered and blocked in gilt. Some dust-soiling, one leaf and one plate toned from a previously inserted newspaper clipping. Extremities a touch worn, stitching strained. Ownership inscription of T. N. Johnston of Corstorphine House to title-page, a map of Old Corstorphine on onion-skin paper loosely inserted.

Notes

One of the scarce large-paper subscriber's copies of this local history book on Corstorphine, also issued in a much smaller trade version in green cloth. This copy appropriately subscribed to by Thomas Nicol Johnston (1870-1923) of Corstorphine House.
