FIRST EDITION, 18mo signed in 9s, [iv], 4, [424]. Contemporary tree calf, spine divided by gilt rolls, red morocco label. 5cm vertical tear to one leaf without loss. A little rubbed, spine somewhat creased. Ownership inscription of Foddert and further inscription recording the death of Bailie H. Mackenzie on 29th November 1783 and the birth of Hectorina on 19th January 1784 to flyleaves.

Notes

ESTC T140567 calls for a slightly different collation and corresponding page-count but this book conforms to the alternative collation given in the notes of the record. This copy however has leaf C6 unsigned, where both collations and the consulted BL copy have it signed D3.
