A scarce golfing calendar, with humorous poetry and cartoons alongside the months of the year. It was sold as a gift, with a leaf preceding the title-page for the purchaser to inscribe their name 'with hearty greetings and every good wish', although in this example it has been left blank. The illustrations are by cartoonist George Fyffe Christie, father of the artist Fyffe Christie. We have dated this copy from the 1928 calendar it contains; it seems to have completely escaped bibliographers' attention and be unrecorded in Library Hub and Worldcat. We have seen other copies with calendars that dated to 1922 and 1923, although none later than this example.
