A full-colour promotional booklet designed for Guinness by advertising agency S. H. Benson to extoll the virtues of their stout; this one (they were issued yearly) is a series of parodies of well-known poetry in the theme of home improvement by Stanley Penn, such as the Walter Scott pastiche 'The Lay of The New Lino.' Given the context of the volume there are also many references to the helpful properties of Guinness. The illustrations are by John Tribe.
