8vo, pp. 79, [1]. Original limp red cloth, front board lettered in gilt. Some foxing and light soiling. Cloth soiled and darkened, a little worn around the edges. Pencilled ownership inscription of Wm. Mackenzie of Caberfeidh House, Inverness, with later inscrption of Jas. P. M. Fraser, to flyleaf.

Notes

A scarce substantial pamphlet analysing the 'Napier Commission' report, by the historian of the Clearances Alexander Mackenzie (1838-1898), who also campaigned for crofters' rights.
