FIRST EDITION, 12mo, pp. [iii]-xviii, 306, xl + engraved title-page. Half-title discarded. Later half calf, brown textured cloth boards, spine divided by raised bands and lettered direct in gilt, marbled edges. A little spotting, small wormtrail to engraved title-page, front flyleaf pasted down. Rubbed, boards a little marked, front hinge starting. Armorial gilt stamp of the Balfour family to foot of spine.
