Description

2 vols. bound as 1, 8vo, pp. [ii], 38, [4, blank], 109, [1]. Original green cloth blocked in blind, front board lettered direct in gilt. Some scattered spotting and soiling. Binding soiled, rubbed and marked, cloth a little rippled, worn to extremities, endpapers sometime renewed.

Notes

Two provincially-printed Somerset works bound together - here the same title-page is duplicated for both works, an error probably occurring at the print-shop as they are in a publisher's binding. This copy matches that in the University of California, except their copy has the correct second title-page which identifies the second work as an 1851 second printing, also from W.P. Penny. Library Hub records 7 copies of the first title, one of which (at the Society of Genealogists) is explicitly noted as being these 2 works bound together in dark green buckram.
