FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. xxxvi, 128 + tissue-guarded frontispiece. Original teal cloth, front board lettered in gilt and blocked in gilt and black, spine lettered in gilt. Just a touch of spotting. Rear board a little marked, a little rubbed to edges. Modern ownership inscriptions to flyleaf, inkstamp monograph of C.D.L. to title-page.

Notes

A collected works and memorial volume for the young Shetland poet Basil R. Anderson (1861-1888), compiled and edited by his friend and fellow-islander Jessie Saxby. Some of the poems are in Shetlandic dialect. Library Hub records 6 copies, 4 of which are north of the border.
