Description

24mo, pp. 32. Original blue sugar-paper wrappers printed in black with series logo, front wrapper additionally titled in ink. Poor-quality paper a touch spotted.

Notes

A sharp chapbook with 9 woodcut illustrations. Roscoe and Brimmell cite 5 that they rather waspishly claim 'ape John Bewick, but are hardly good enough for Lee,' but Tattersfield attributes them to Thomas Bewick's apprentice Edward Willis. Tattersfield also notes that this title is a piracy of Elizabeth Newbery's 1799 publication Little Tales for Little People, with mirrored illustrations.
