A gathering of 'macabre sea stories' by William Hope Hodgson (1877-1918), including three stories never before collected in book form. Two of these were found among Hodgson's manuscripts and sent by his sister Lissie to Arkham House for publication. The dustjacket art is by Frank Utpatel (1905-1980).
