Notes

A beautifully-produced edition of one of Walter Savage Landor's 'Imaginary Conversations' - a series of dialogues between the dead initially published between 1824 and 1829. It is an early effort of artist and typographer Charles Ricketts, co-founder of the Vale Press, and the second to be printed using his Vale type. 210 copies were printed, of which 200 were for sale. This copy belonged to Ricketts' biographer, J.G. Paul Delaney.
