FIRST EDITION, small 4to, pp. viii, 303, [1], 12 [ads]. Numerous full-page illustrations included within pagination. Original pale blue cloth, boards decorated in red, blue and orange, front board lettered direct in gilt, spine decorated in black. A little shaken, some light soiling. Spine sunned, some wear to extremities, particularly spine-ends, decoration a little rubbed, rear hinge reinforced with archival tissue. Gift inscription to flyleaf: ‘Irene Napier Bradley Jones with loving wishes from Auntie Jessie, February 28th 1899’.
