Bound from the parts in slightly later half calf, buckram boards, spine divided by raised bands, red morocco label, edges sprinkled red. Handling tear to map. Spine and extremities just slightly rubbed and scratched.

Notes

The second English edition of this polar classic, a year after the first. Issued in a new and more decorative cloth binding, it was also sold in parts, from which this copy has been bound in a plain but good-quality fashion.
