FIRST UK EDITION, 8vo, pp. [vi], 201, [1]. Original navy blue boards, spine lettered in gilt, dustjacket printed in black and green. Spine gently sunned, some light soiling, edges a little bumped and rubbed. Ownership inscription of James Edgar, Edinburgh, 31st May 1862, to flyleaf.

Notes

The first British appearance of Salinger's two long stories about younger members of the Glass family, which had both first appeared in the New Yorker and then in a US edition in 1961.
