FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING, paperback issue, 8vo, pp. 223, [1]. Original colour-printed wrappers. Paper lightly toned, a small spot of damage to fore-edge of first and last leaves, half-title partly detached. Wrappers rather rubbed at edges, somewhat creased, spine lightly sunned, worn at foot with the cover lifting, small chip from front wrapper fore-edge.

Notes

One of just 5,150 copies of the paperback version, issued simultaneously with the famous 500 copies of the hardback - and just as frequently read to death by enthusiastic owners. All the first issue points are present - full numberline, 'Joanne Rowling' in the copyright statement, young wizard on rear cover, two '1 wand's, etc.
