FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. 221, [1]. Original orange cloth, spine and front board lettered in black, cream dustjacket printed in black and blue. Dustjacket just a little soiled, spine panel slightly darkened, ends of spine panel a little rubbed, inserted prospectus sheet a little chipped to edges. Single-sheet advertising prosepectus on yellow paper loosely inserted.

Notes

Stokoe states that despite the title-page bearing the date 1929 this collection of short stories was not issued until July 1930. This copy, well-preserved in its attractive dustjacket, also contains a handbill advertising its publication printed on pale yellow paper.
