Contemporary half calf, marbled boards, spine divided by double gilt rules and lettered direct in gilt, other compartments tooled centrally in gilt, edges sprinkled blue. Plates toned. Just a little rubbed, extremities bumped and a little worn, rear hinge sometime relined with tape, now yellowed. Armorial bookplate of Rev. William Battersby to pastedown, gift inscription to Mary Battersby to half-title.
