3 vols., 18mo, pp. xxxvi, 287, [1]; 261, [1]; 335, [1]. Contemporary calf, spines divided by raised bands between gilt rules and numbered direct in gilt. A touch toned, a little scattered soiling. Rubbed, particularly to spines, and marked, edges worn with patches of loss to leather. Ownership inscriptions of the Lorimer family to pastedown of vol. 1, traces of labels to foot of spines.

A scarce Edinburgh printing of Butler's 17th-century satire: ESTC records 5 copies with this imprint: NLS, BL and three Canadian institutions, and a further 5 copies (T1730) of 'the same edition, with a reset imprint' which reads 'printed for S. Crowder, C. Ware, and T. Payne'.
