Tall 8vo, pp. 38, [4] + coloured frontispiece, title-page, and 4 further plates mounted on green card. Original lavender cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front board blocked in purple and gilt with coloured illustration laid in. A touch of spotting. Binding a little faded to edges. Ink gift inscription to front flyleaf, dated March 4th, 1916.

Notes

The third title in the 'envelope book' series printed by T.N. Foulis from 1907-1912, a later issue of the variant in cloth boards (the middle option in terms of cost and luxury, between wrappers and suede), with a square illustration above the title on the front and a full 13 titles advertised in the series at the rear.
