FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. xvi, 230, [2] + frontispiece and 24 plates. Original white cloth, printed in black to a design by William Nicholson. One or two small spots. Cloth a bit soiled, head of spine bruised with a touch of wear. Bookplate of William Wood to pastedown, along with a small clipped label printed ‘Knole / Sevenoaks / Kent’ in red beneath a Baron’s coronet (taken from a letterhead?).
