FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, 8vo, pp. 24, [2]. Original cream card wrappers printed in red and black, pale yellow dustjacket printed in red and black. Dustjacket just a touch soiled, a little bumped to top edge. Inscribed by the author to flyleaf: ‘To my good Robin, fount of mercies, from Sydney at Christmas 1965, with love’.

Notes

Sydney Goodsir Smith's poem was written for broadcast by the BBC in 1964. This is its first appearance in book form, and this copy is warmly inscribed to BBC editor Robin Richardson.
