FIRST EDITION, second impression, 8vo, pp. 248. Original red cloth, spine lettered in white, colour-printed pictorial dustjacket, wrap-around band printed in red. A touch of toning to edges. Dustjacket and band somewhat toned and spotted, a few creases and chips to top edge of jacket.

Notes

The first edition, second printing of William Golding's debut and most famous novel. This copy is in an unclipped dustjacket along with the rare wraparound band with quotes from the BBC and Glasgow Herald.
