8vo, pp. xii, 473, [3, ads] + 2 frontispieces. Title-page and frontispiece preceded by a facsimile of the original edition title-page with its own frontispiece. Contemporary calf, spine divided by double black rules, central blind tools to compartments, boards bordered with floral roll in blind, edges sprinkled blue. Initial and final gatherings foxed and marked by damp, otherwise just some light spotting, archival tape repair to title-page gutter. Binding rubbed and scratched and sometime refurbished, a little worn to extremities, label lost. Ink ownership inscription of ‘John Mather of Mickel Earnock’ to first page of text.
