Notes

An important resource on Scottish printing and the legal battles over the Scottish bible monopoly. The note to the flyleaf is contradicted by the printed notice following the title-page, which states that 'copies of the Memorial are sold at the Depositories of the Bible Societies, and at the shops of the principal booksellers in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Perth, Dundee, Arbroath, Cupar, Dumfries, Greenock, Paisley, Haddington, Jedburgh, Inverness, Kelso, Montrose, Stirling &c.'
