FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. viii, 470 + frontispiece. 20th-century half blue morocco, blue cloth boards, spine divided by raised bands between double gilt rules, 2nd and 4th compartments lettered direct in gilt, other compartments tooled centrally in gilt, edges speckled red. A touch of foxing to frontispiece, some offsetting to title-page.
