FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, 8vo, pp, [vi], 85, [3] + 8 colour plates. Original yellow cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Just a touch of soiling, spine very lightly sunned. Presentation inscription to flyleaf: ‘To Eva Rosebery, with best wishes from Sacheverell Sitwell 11-xi-48’.

Notes

This copy of Sitwell's account of an imagined dérive through 1860s London was presented by the author to Eva Primrose, Countess of Rosebery and Midlothian (1892-1987).
