Contemporary vellum, boards bordered with double gilt rules with blue morocco onlay panels, boards and spine tooled in gilt, front board lettered direct in blue, blue morocco labels to spine, blue cloth dustjacket with gilt fleur de lys pattern to reverse, blue cloth slipcase. Slipcase and dustjacket stained and marked and a little rubbed.

Notes

An attractively-bound, extra-illustrated edition of Ruskin's artistic guide to the Italian city. This copy has been extensively illustrated with photographic views of the sights mentioned, probably by an enterprising Florentine bookseller with an eye on the tourist market.
