12mo, pp. xxiii, [i], 300 + engraved frontispiece portrait. Contemporary brown calf, spine divided by gilt rolls, black morocco label lettered in gilt, central floral gilt tool to other compartments, boards bordered with blind roll and double gilt rules, marbled edges. A touch of foxing, blank corner of one leaf torn. Binding rubbed and a little scratched. Repeated ink and pencil ownership inscriptions of Robert Mason to front flyleaves, dated 1824, 1826, and 1838.
