Description

12mo, pp. 71. [1] + frontispiece and 2 plates. Further full-page illustrations included within pagination. Original tan boards printed in black. Rear flyleaf excised. Sometime rebacked in red roan, boards somewhat soiled, a little wear to corners. Ownership inscription of Elizabeth Sarah Augusta Pennington to pastedown dated March 24th 1846.

Notes

A scarce juvenile improving tract in the publisher's Parlour Stories series. Library Hub records three copies, all in London: the BL, V&A and UAL. The copy in the British Library, however, is a different printing which only has the illustrations included within pagination and lacks the extra plates.
