Description

FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. viii, 67, [1]. Untrimmed in original blue boards, printed paper label to spine, spare label tipped in at rear. Faint toning. Some wear and chipping to spine and joints, a little soiling to front board, spine toned and defective at head.

Notes

One of 500 copies printed of the first collection of poetry by the Anglo-American decadent writer Vincent O'Sullivan (1868-1940), a staunch friend of Oscar Wilde. Better remembered now for the supernatural fiction of his story collections, O'Sullivan lived in poverty after his brother lost the family fortune, and his lack of immediate reputation may contributed to this volume being much scarcer than the limitation would suggest.
