Ten of MacDiarmid's poems in English, as opposed to his more usual Scots. This is designated 'Poetry Leaflet 1' to the top of the first page, although no further issues followed. Glen himself, in his 1970 overview of his work with the poet, 'A Small Press and Hugh MacDiarmid' writes 'This was set and proofed as a style for a projected series that was not published', with the next entry being a corresponding pamphlet of MacDiarmid's Scots verse, 'Poetry Leaflet 2', which was 'proofed by students, but [...] also not published'. However, we have found no trace of this second pamphlet outside of this bibliography, while the four holdings in Library Hub from Poems in English, together with this copy which is signed by Glen, suggest some circulation of the first in the aborted series, even if distribution was limited.
