FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. 214, [10, ads]. Black and white illustrations within pagination. Original textured red cloth, front board and spine blocked in black and gilt, patterned endpapers, a few gatherings unopened. Some spotting. Binding a touch dustsoiled, spine ends bumped.

Notes

The only botanical work of Scottish novelist Margaret Moyes Black (1853-1935), who sometimes published under the pseudonym M.B. Fife. Scarce on the market, there are only five copies cited on Library Hub in the UK and Ireland, with Worldcat noting only two more globally.
