Notes

The first English edition of Paleontologist and zoologist Eugen Wilhelm Pfizenmayer's 1926 account of the discovery and excavation of a preserved wooly mammoth in Siberia. His excavation and preservation of the specimen now known as the Beresovka Mammoth was instrumental in shaping our understanding of these animals; the carcass remains on display in St Petersberg.
This copy has been signed by its translator to the flyleaf.
