Notes

A scarce and ephemeral publication by the Nova Scotian expatriate poet Laurence Bradford Dakin (1904-1972), then living in London. Dakin was slightly notorious in his time for the poor quality of his verse (though John Masefield reportedly called one of his plays 'a work of genius') and generally only saw print through vanity publications - including four volumes through Jack Kahane's Obelisk Press. Copies of his work are understandably scarce, especially inscribed, and this particular text is located by Library Hub in the BL and Reading only.
