8vo, pp. [iv], 308, [2] + 9 plates. Contemporary prize calf, boards bordered with gilt rolls and rules, spine divided by raised bands, dark green morocco label, other compartments tooled in gilt, edges gilt. Scattered but heavy toning, mostly to margins, smoky odour to paper. Rubbed to edges, a little wear to extremities, spine darkened. Prize label to pastedown dated 1884, front board lettered in gilt.
