Notes

A scarce privately-printed poetry pamphlet with an autograph letter from the author dated 25/9/40 inserted, in which he explains that he extracted it from his flat which was 'full of the dust and grit of smashed buildings' but that it got left in the office 'and while it waited an aerial torpedo landed about 30 yards from the building and smashed all the windows and brought down the ceilings and generally made a mess. Hence the copy is not very clean!'
Library Hub records 3 copies, at NLS, Senate House and St Andrews, the latter of which attribute it to a St Andrews printer, W.C. Henderson & Son.
